ACTION PLAN – COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Namaste, we continue to pray the divine to keep you, your family, and your loved ones safe and healthy at these unprecedented times the world has ever gone through. Shreyas Retreat has been serving the guests from its inception with the unique Indian philosophy of “Athithi Devo Bhava” with heart-filled divinity and the highest service standards. The majority of our staffs are staying with Shreyas for more than 15 years, and they are familiar with the highest service standards, the same on our guest reviews and top rankings of Trip Advisor. Our Doctors and Yoga teachers have conducted several programs on educating the guests on building immunity, home remedies, Ayurveda, Yogasana, Pranayama, Meditation, etc. The free live sessions are offered frequently on Instagram, Facebook, and many full-length videos are uploaded on Vimeo, so you continue to practice yoga to maintain your health at best. The safety and wellbeing of our guests and associates are of the utmost importance to us. We are closely following the updated Covid-19 guidelines from the World Health Organisation and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the Government of India, and the local authorities. There may be changes in the services and activities available at this time compare to your previous visits as we have altered some of the operations/services. We assure you of our continued best efforts to maintain the highest standards of health and hygiene in these challenging times besides providing a memorable experience as always for you and your loved ones. We request all our guests to note and adhere to the following general guidelines as precautionary measures during their stay.


General Guidelines

  • Only registered guests are allowed into Shreyas. Non-residential guests are strictly not permitted inside the premises without prior intimation and registration.
  • All guests and visitors entering Shreyas follow stringent thermal checks, sanitization protocols at the entrance and common areas.
  • All the staffs goes through the thermal screening every day before starting their work. The family members of the team residing in the staff quarters inside the premises also go through the thermal screening every day.
  • All vehicles go through a sanitization & fumigation process after every pick-up and drop. The guests must follow the passenger capacity as prescribed by the government.
  • We conduct Covid-19 tests for all our staff and their family members every 6-8 weeks, and any person tested positive will be sent out of the premises for 21 days of quarantine.

  • Guests are requested to make critical pre-arrival information available, as mandated by the Ministry of Health, Government of India. This will help us ensure your safety and that of other guests and our staff.
  • It is mandatory for all the guests to download the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile phones before arrival at Shreyas.
  • Hand sanitizers are made available in vehicles, rooms, service areas, and common areas.
  • All rooms are pre-sanitized with an in-depth cleaning process with appropriate disinfectants.
  • In house guests will be monitored by the doctors by checking their health parameters like temperature, BP, SpO2, Pulse rate once in a day during their stay.
  • The touch points like door handles, knobs, safety latches, keys, countertops, table tops, railings, taps, and furniture in the common areas are cleaned frequently using appropriate disinfectants.
  • Maintain a social distance of at least 2 m (6 feet) from the staff and other guests at all times.
  • Please wear a face mask whenever you step out of your room or stepping close to other guests or staff.
  • Please remember to sanitize and (or) wash your hands with soap-water regularly during your stay, especially before and after a change of location.
  • Please note hand sanitizers are available in every room and common areas.
  • Information of doctors, medical shops, and other such information to be made handy to the guest through WhatsApp/ SMS. Set protocols to be followed in case any guest/ staff develops COVID-19 symptoms while at Shreyas.
  • If you or any member of your family shows any symptoms of illness, including cough, cold, sneezing, or difficulty breathing, please volunteer this information to the in-house doctors immediately and quarantine the person inside your room till further instructions.

Arrival Protocol:

  • All vehicles undergo stringent deep cleaning with safe sanitizing chemicals and a fogger machine.
  • All guests undergo a mandatory temperature check, pulse rate, and SpO2.
  • Guests are offered sanitizers and face masks as part of hygiene protocol.
  • All guest luggage is thoroughly sanitized and moved directly into the rooms.
  • Shreyas Team will welcome you with Indian traditional NAMASTE and aarti. Offering garlands is suspended for the time being.
  • As per the government guidelines, all the guests must have Aarogya Setu App installed on their mobile phones and present the status at the time of arrival.
  • All guests are mandated to sign a self-declaration form containing details about their travel history, health checks, and medical history.
  • The guests are requested to forward the mandatory details for registration through the digital medium along with the ID and address proof, so they only need to sign the registration form at the time of check-in.
  • The guests can manually fill the registration form and submit the photocopies of required documents at the time of arrival if not sent the details through the digital medium.
  • The guests are advised to sanitize their hands before & after signing registration forms and completing check-in.

Room Cleaning:

  • Room cleaning and servicing is carried out only in the absence of in-room guests by trained housekeeping staff wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Rooms are sanitized using hospital grade disinfectants as recommended by World Health Organization and Ministry of Health.
  • The room will be deep cleaned and sanitized once a day.
  • Do let us know your preferences with regards to timing for cleaning.
  • Hand sanitizers and face masks are available in your room.
  • In case of any maintenance issue in the room, the attending personnel will wear hand gloves and masks and follow sanitization protocols while working inside the rooms. Guests are requested to stay out of the room while any such work is carried out.
  • Please contact Shreyas team for in-room refreshments and replenishments of any consumables.
  • The guests are requested to forward the mandatory details for registration through the digital medium along with the ID and address proof, so they only need to sign the registration form at the time of check-in.

Dining:

  • Dining settings and seating arrangements have been remodelled to maintain safe distancing.
  • Outdoor dining settings are made for all meal timings subject to weather conditions.
  • Dining tables and chairs are cleaned and sanitized after every use; the dining area is deep cleaned and sanitized as per standard protocol.
  • Every guest or family is allotted a fresh table in a different location. The once used table will not be made available for reseating any other guest during the same meal period.
  • Limited seating and staggered meal timings when required to ensure safe distancing is maintained between tables
  • All service associates wear face masks, gloves, and face-shields and adhere to stringent safety norms and hygiene protocols.
  • All crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other shared instruments are cleaned as per standard protocol and packed in food-grade covers for protection.
  • The fruits, vegetables are cleaned as per standard protocol.
  • Fruit baskets are provided to rooms on request.

Kitchen:

  • All Kitchen staff and chefs wear prescribed face masks, gloves, and face-shields and adhere to stringent safety and hygiene protocols while handling food and kitchen equipment.
  • Food grade sanitizers and disinfectants are used in the kitchen.
  • All goods entering will be disinfected, and a cool-off period of a minimum of six hours shall be allowed before use. Fruits and vegetables washed in 50 ppm chlorine.

Linen and Laundry:

  • Our laundry uses anti-bacterial detergents with enhanced wash cycles.
  • Wash temperatures are increased to 70 degree Celsius.
  • The Laundrymen and the house keeping staff always wear face masks and hand gloves and strictly adhere to hygiene and safety protocols.

Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation sessions:

  • The yoga pavilions/halls/places and the equipment like mats, blocks, belts, cushions, chairs are sanitized before and after every session.
  • Guests to bring yoga mats kept in their room for the sessions.
  • Group sessions are limited to a maximum of 8 guests, and more sessions are simultaneously held if there are more than eight guests.
  • Our yoga teachers maintain the minimum safety distance while conducting the sessions and ensure enough space between the participants.
  • Yoga teachers strictly adhere to safety and hygiene standards while conducting the sessions and sanitize their equipment before and after every session.
  • No posture adjustments are provided in group yoga sessions.
  • Posture adjustments during private sessions to be done with hands only, observing all safety precautions.

Doctors and nursing services:

  • Ayurveda/Naturopathy doctors/Nurses at Shreyas retreat will check the vitals of all the guests at least once a day, as mentioned earlier
  • Our doctors and the nurses will be wearing face masks, gloves, and do not face straight in front of the guests while conversing with them.
  • Nurses, Therapists, and doctors will wear face masks and gloves while performing any therapeutic procedures.
  • Doctor Consultations shall be pre-booked, and consultation rooms/places are sanitized before and after the consultation.

Anaha, the wellness center at Shreyas:

  • The guests shall pre-book the treatments in consultation with our Ayurveda/Naturopathy doctors.
  • Anaha staff strictly follow the safety protocols like maintaining safe social distancing, frequent hand washes, wearing masks, aprons, gloves, and face shields (last two when and wherever required).
  • Common contact surfaces like door handles, knobs, table tops, switches, water taps are sanitized before and after every use/touch.
  • All the equipment, utensils for therapy, and medicines preparations are cleaned as per standard protocol.
  • All ingredients, oils, cream required for guest treatment/therapy is measured accurately before use for the guest, and the left-over stuff is discarded without fail.
  • Therapy procedures will be followed, as explained in the SOP, with extra care to ensure hygiene.
  • Common areas, including spa reception, consultation, corridors, will be cleaned using appropriate disinfectants as mentioned in the SOP.

  • Therapy rooms are cleaned, and appropriate sanitization procedures are followed, as mentioned in the SOP.
  • Guests are requested to sanitize/ hand wash before leaving the spa.
  • All medicinal preparations will be labelled and along with the medication and guest's name, wherever applicable.
  • Therapists will avoid touching the cup while offering water/juice/decoction to the guest to minimize contact points.
  • After each therapy treatment, rooms are completely deep cleaned as per the hygiene protocols by appropriate disinfectant chemicals. The same treatment room will not be allotted for the next treatment in the next 2 hours.

Gym:

  • All Gym equipment are sanitized with disinfectant before and after every use.
  • Guests need to pre-book the timings for the use of the Fitness centre.
  • A maximum of two guests are allowed at the same.
  • Guests are requested to shower before coming to Gym.
  • Water, hand sanitizer, and tissues are made available at the Gym.
  • We give adequate time (one hour) between appointments to clean and sanitize the gym room and equipment.

Others:

  • All our standards are in line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the World Health Organization, and the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
  • Guests need to pre-book the timings for the use of the Fitness centre.
  • A maximum of two guests are allowed at the same.
  • All parcels, courier items, shopping bags, etc., received or given to guests will be sanitized before entering the property and the guests’ room.
  • ISO approved packaging of goods only allowed to enter the property.

What If You Become Sick with Covid-19 while at Shreyas?

  • As the incubation period for coronavirus is 2 –14 days, there are chances that you may develop the symptoms during the stay. It is essential that you will let us know as soon as you notice any symptoms of Covid-19 while avoiding proximity with any of our team or other guests. You will be requested to isolate in a room designated for quarantine. We will inform government authorities of the most current recommended next actions, including assisting them with their test and trace program.
  • Shreyas follows a similar protocol for the staff also.

CHECK-OUT GUIDELINES:

  • Please inform our team of your check-out time at least 3 hours before departure.
  • The invoice and the payment link will be sent to you by WhatsApp or Email so you can settle the invoice online.
  • Our Guest Relation Officer will assist you in the payment process.
  • Your luggage will be disinfected and collected from your room before you arrive at the vehicle.
